Solidarity Scale

The Respite operates as a queer-stewarded small business according to solidarity scale. There is no set price to stay at the Respite. We are working on building a financially sustainable model that is accountable to the community, but does not rely on typical non-profit grant resources. No one is paid to operate the Respite, at present.

We appreciate the support and ask for a contribution according to what you can pay / give to sustain the Respite as a community resource. Sliding scale $50 - $200 per night depending on # of people & BDRS desired. It is a better deal if you can include weekdays in your booking. More bang for your buck!

** Looking for Benefactors / Supporters to help offset infrastructure costs and to make it accessible for QTGNC and BIPOC to seek Respite here. Monthly expenses to operate the Respite are approximately $2,000 per month, not including land maintenance, upkeep, or cleaning fees paid to domestic worker partner, Ana Rodriguez of Oxford, NC. Please be in touch if interested. We are a fiscally-sponsored project of ALTERNATE ROOTS. Thank you.**

If you’d like to camp on the land at no charge, or offer garden/land work in exchange for your stay, send an email or DM to Steward, K Cox.

See OUR HISTORY for more backstory and where we are in the process of remtariating this land to MK and her Occaneechi Saponi family.
